Adeyemi to Cooperate with ICPC on PFIPC Forgery Probe

Adeniyi Adeyemi, the Director General of the Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC), announced his willingness to cooperate with the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) regarding an investigation into allegations of forgery linked to the council. During an Instagram interview, Adeyemi stated he would provide documents to assist the ICPC in uncovering the truth surrounding the council's operations.

President Bola Tinubu has mandated the ICPC to conduct a thorough investigation and submit a comprehensive report within 30 days. Adeyemi expressed concerns about the legitimacy of the council, questioning its existence in the national budget and the authenticity of documents allegedly used to obtain diplomatic recognition.

He also mentioned an attack by gunmen near Zuma Rock in September 2025. The investigation follows public pressure from civil society organizations and political figures demanding accountability regarding the council's operations and funding.
