Oyebamiji Confident in Osun Governorship Bid for 2026

Bola Oyebamiji, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, stated his confidence in defeating incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke in the upcoming election scheduled for August 15, 2026. During the Arise Townhall on Tuesday, Oyebamiji dismissed allegations that his campaign relied on federal support, asserting that his backing comes from the people of Osun State.

He highlighted his extensive engagement efforts, having visited over 30 local government areas three times to consult with party members and community leaders. Oyebamiji reported an overwhelming response from APC members, indicating readiness for a change in leadership.

He also inaugurated campaign canvassers in these areas, further solidifying his belief in the people's support. Oyebamiji claimed endorsements from approximately 42 sectors and groups within the state, reinforcing his confidence that the election will be determined by the voters, not external political influences.
