APC's Oyebamiji Denies Election Rigging Allegations

Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Osun State governorship election scheduled for August 15, 2023, has refuted allegations that his party intends to rig the election. Speaking at the flag-off of the reconstruction of the Osogbo–Iwo–Ibadan Road and the rehabilitation of the Gbongan–Osogbo Road, Oyebamiji emphasized that the election's outcome would be determined solely by the votes of the people.

He accused Governor Ademola Adeleke of making baseless claims about rigging due to his fears of electoral defeat. Oyebamiji stated that his campaign focuses on mobilizing voters rather than engaging in electoral malpractice and expressed confidence in the APC's chances based on the support received during the campaign.

He urged party members to intensify grassroots mobilization and assured that an APC victory would enhance Osun State's relationship with the Federal Government, leading to increased infrastructure and development projects. Oyebamiji committed to prudent management of public resources if elected.
