Oyebamiji Confident of Victory Against Adeleke in Osun

Bola Oyebamiji, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Osun State, is confident in his ability to defeat the current governor, Ademola Adeleke, in the upcoming governorship election scheduled for August 15, 2026. Speaking at the Arise Townhall, Oyebamiji dismissed claims that his campaign relies on the support of the Federal Government, asserting that his backing comes from the residents of Osun.

He has conducted extensive consultations across over 30 local government areas in the state, engaging with party members and community stakeholders to gauge their readiness for a change in government. Oyebamiji stated that he has been endorsed by approximately 42 sectors and groups within the state, including traders, women, and youth, which he believes reflects a strong desire for a new administration.

He emphasized that his campaign's success would not depend on federal influence but rather on the will of the people.
