Imo APC Aspirants Withdraw, Support Ndubuez for Senate

Ex-senatorial aspirants from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo State, including Patrick Ndubuez, Princess Gloria Akobundu, and Mr. Kennedi Ik Odoem, clarified their withdrawal from the senatorial race during a press conference in Owerri.

They dismissed reports suggesting they were induced to step down, asserting their decision was voluntary and aimed at correcting misrepresentations circulating on social media. The aspirants emphasized the need for party unity and support for Ndubuez, who is positioned as the candidate for the Imo North senatorial district.

They noted that the APC's direct primary elections were conducted peacefully, allowing members to vote freely without intimidation. The aspirants expressed their commitment to ensuring the APC's success in the upcoming elections, particularly in re-electing Ndubuez, and reaffirmed their support for President Bola Tinubu's administration.
