Imo CP Promises Security for Upcoming Elections

On Wednesday, during a meeting at the police command headquarters in Owerri, Imo State Commissioner of Police, Audu Garba Bosso, assured the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of comprehensive security measures ahead of the elections. He committed to safeguarding INEC personnel and facilitating electoral activities throughout Imo State.

Bosso emphasized the importance of proactive measures and sustained patrols to ensure a peaceful and credible electoral process. He appealed to residents to provide credible information to security agencies and reiterated the Nigeria Police Force's advocacy for community support in maintaining peace.

Chukwuemeka Christoph, the newly appointed Resident Electoral Commissioner for Imo State, commended the police command for their support during previous electoral activities and called for enhanced security coverage around INEC offices and facilities across the state, especially in light of heightened security concerns in recent years.
