APC's Basiru Visits Adeleke, Pledges Support for Tinubu

Senator Ajibola Basiru, the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), visited Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke to acknowledge his recent electoral victory and express his commitment to supporting President Bola Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 presidential election. Basiru described the APC's defeat in the election as painful, noting his extensive campaigning for the APC candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, across at least 12 local government areas.

He emphasized that the election is now in the past and urged political actors to focus on the state's unity and progress. Basiru's visit was motivated by three main reasons: to thank Adeleke for his condolence visit during the burial of Basiru's mother, to congratulate him on his electoral success, and to appreciate his endorsement of President Tinubu.

Following the election, Oyebamiji also congratulated Adeleke and called for urgent action to address recent violence in Ikire, highlighting the need for peace and security in Osun State.
