Oyebamiji Critiques Adeleke's Use of Federal Allocations

Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, accused Governor Ademola Adeleke's administration of not translating increased federal allocations into meaningful development. During a media parley in Lagos on Monday, Oyebamiji, who previously served as Commissioner for Finance, noted that the last allocation received by former Governor Gboyega Oyetola was approximately N2.6 billion, while the current administration receives an average of about N16 billion monthly without corresponding benefits for the citizens.

He alleged that infrastructure projects under Adeleke were awarded to incompetent contractors, leading to failures before commissioning. Oyebamiji also raised concerns about political violence, claiming over 25 APC members were killed during the 2022 governorship election, including the murder of Honourable Remi Abass in his local government area.

He stated that some murder cases are being prosecuted in the Federal High Court. Oyebamiji unveiled his 100-day agenda, promising to prioritize workers' welfare, youth empowerment, security, infrastructure development, and fiscal reforms if elected.
