Three Nigerians Arrested in India for Drug Trafficking

On Wednesday, three Nigerian nationals were arrested in India for their alleged involvement in a drug trafficking syndicate. The suspects, identified as Ambemo Victor (37), Chime Mose (36), and Karikari Am (33), reportedly entered the country on medical tourist visas and engaged in the illicit drug trade.

The arrests were made by the anti-narcotics wing of the Indian Central Crime Branch (CCB) following a tip-off. During the operation, authorities seized 10.27 kg of MDMA crystal and 2.044 kg of hydroponic ganja, valued at approximately ₹23 crore.

This incident marks a continuation of drug-related arrests involving Nigerian nationals in India, with a previous case in May involving four Nigerians apprehended for fraud and impersonation offenses. The CCB's investigation revealed that the suspects were based in Delhi and were actively procuring drugs for distribution.
