Aregbesola Slams INEC for Missing ADC Convention

Rauf Aregbesola, a prominent figure in Nigerian politics, expressed his outrage at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for not attending the African Democratic Congress (ADC) convention. During his speech at the convention, Aregbesola described INEC as an "illegal" and "criminal" organization, emphasizing that the electoral body should have been properly notified about the convention scheduled for 2025.

He accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of orchestrating a crisis that has plagued the ADC, leading to a boycott of the convention by the electoral umpire. The ADC has recently faced turmoil, particularly following INEC's suspension of recognition for the leadership led by David Mark, which has sparked outrage among opposition leaders across the country.

Aregbesola called for international bodies to assist Nigerian opposition parties in addressing these challenges.
