INEC Rejects Samuel Anyanwu as PDP Acting Chairman in Ekiti Primaries Dispute

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) rejected Samuel Anyanwu's faction's letter seeking to postpone the PDP Ekiti governorship primary election. Despite the request, the primary was held on November 8, with Dr.

Wole Oluyede emerging as the winner. INEC declared the faction's request invalid and dismissed Abdulrahaman Mohammed's claim as the acting national chairman of the PDP.

The letter signed by the Commission's Secretary, Rose Oriaran Anthony, stated that the faction's actions did not comply with regulations.
