INEC Urged to Reinstate Gabam as SDP National Chairman

The court's decision, delivered almost a month ago, has intensified the ongoing leadership tussle within the SDP, where rival factions have claimed control.

The dispute began when members of the National Working Committee (NWC) suspended and later expelled Gabam, arguing that such actions were inconsistent with the SDP's constitution. The court ruled that internal party disputes should be resolved according to the party's constitution, leaving the NWC without authority to act unilaterally.

Stakeholders are now urging INEC to reflect the court's decision in its official records and to ensure compliance with the judgment, questioning why INEC has not yet updated its portal to reflect this ruling.
