PDP Warns INEC Against APC Collusion on PVCs in Osun

The Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) issued a warning to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) against potential collusion with the All Progressives Congress (APC) concerning the release of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs). In a joint statement released in Osogbo, the chairmen of both political parties cautioned against an alleged plan for the illegal release of PVCs to non-indigenes during the voter registration exercise.

They accused the APC of pressuring INEC to distribute PVCs in a manner that could compromise the electoral process. The PDP called for transparency from INEC regarding the handling of unclaimed PVCs and emphasized that any attempt by the APC to gain unauthorized access to these cards would be resisted.

The statement also referenced the need for INEC to provide accurate data on unclaimed PVCs and to ensure that the electoral process remains free from manipulation.
