Berger Paints Launches Thermal Paint to Enhance Energy Efficiency

Abi Ayida, the chairman of Berger Paints Nigeria Plc, stated that innovation must focus on solving real problems instead of just creating new products. This was articulated during the unveiling of a thermal paint solution designed to reduce heat absorption in buildings, which took place in Lagos at a high-level industry forum.

The product aims to promote energy-efficient spaces and can be applied to both interior and exterior surfaces. Ayida highlighted Berger Paints' responsibility to leverage its experience to tackle contemporary challenges in Nigeria's built environment.

Alaba Fagun, the Group Managing Director of Berger Paints, noted that the new product was developed in response to the practical challenges faced by building owners and occupants. The launch is timely, given rising temperatures and concerns over climate change.

Ibukun Awosika, CEO of the Chair Centre Group, delivered a keynote address urging businesses to innovate in ways that address changing market needs. The forum gathered various stakeholders to discuss the future of Nigeria's built environment.
