Emir of Yashikira Decries Violent Attacks in Kwara North as Governor Condemns Bandit Assaults

The Emir of Yashikira, Alhaji Umoru Seriki, decried the recent violent attacks by armed bandits on communities in Kwara North, particularly in Kaiama. The attacks resulted in property destruction, deaths, and injuries.

The Emir highlighted the frequent assaults faced by the communities and called for urgent security measures. Governor Rafiu Ajakay of Kwara State confirmed the attacks and expressed condolences to the victims.

Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq condemned the attacks, describing them as cowardly. Security forces are intensifying counterterrorism efforts to address the escalating violence in the region.
