Orji Kalu Calls for Accountability from Service Chiefs

Senator Orji Kalu, representing Abia North, declared that service chiefs must be held accountable for the resources appropriated to tackle insecurity across Nigeria. Speaking on Wednesday during a Senate deliberation on security and public health, Kalu reflected on the need for concrete actions beyond rhetoric to improve outcomes in the fight against crime.

He stated that Nigerians deserve measurable results from the resources allocated to security agencies. Kalu also expressed support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration and the passage of a bill aimed at establishing a national agency for malaria elimination, describing the legislation as a significant milestone in combating one of the deadliest diseases affecting millions of Nigerians.

He underscored that the safety and welfare of Nigerians should remain central to government policy interventions.
