Orji Kalu Commits to Praying for Nigeria's Unity

Orji Kalu, the former governor of Abia State and current senator representing Abia North, stated his intention to continue praying for Nigeria's unity until his death. He made these remarks while receiving a souvenir from Sokoto State Governor Ahmadu Aliyu during a visit to Sokoto State.

Kalu highlighted that insecurity remains a significant barrier to Nigeria's economic progress and the improvement of citizens' living standards. He argued that the country requires stringent security measures to unlock sustainable growth and broader national development.

Kalu commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's economic directives, noting that while macroeconomic indicators show improvement, ordinary Nigerians have yet to feel the impact. He expressed confidence that increased security investments could change the current situation and reiterated his long-standing appeal for national unity.

Kalu also expressed appreciation to Governor Aliyu for hosting him and for the completion of road projects in Sokoto State.
