Kalu Advocates for Nigeria's Unity and Economic Growth

Orji Kalu, the former Governor of Abia State, stated his commitment to praying for Nigeria's unity until his death. He made this declaration during a visit to Sokoto State, where he received a souvenir from Governor Ahmadu Aliyu.

Kalu highlighted the critical need for stronger measures to tackle insecurity, which he believes hinders Nigeria's quest for sustainable economic growth. He commended President Bola Tinubu for his efforts to expand the Nigerian economy but noted that the current macroeconomic situation appears challenging for ordinary Nigerians.

Kalu pointed out that while the economy may seem strong at the top, it fails to adequately benefit the average citizen, partly due to prevailing security challenges across the country. He expressed optimism that with the right investments in security, Nigeria could enjoy economic gains.

Kalu's visit included discussions on the execution of 10 road projects by the Aliyu administration, as stated by the Director General of Media and Publicity at the Sokoto State Government House, Abubakar Bawa.
