Tinubu Advocates Interfaith Dialogue for Nigeria's Security

On Saturday, in Abuja, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu received Archbishop Paul R. Gallagher, the Vatican's Secretary for Relations with States.

During this meeting, Tinubu asserted that interfaith dialogue is the most effective means to tackle Nigeria's security challenges and to foster peace and coexistence among its diverse religious groups. He urged Christian and Muslim leaders to continue preaching peace and tolerance, emphasizing that the administration will persist in its efforts to promote religious harmony across the country.

Tinubu acknowledged the significant progress made by the military against criminal groups and highlighted the administration's investment in resources for surveillance and security operations, particularly in previously ungoverned areas. He also mentioned initiatives aimed at reducing the vulnerability of young people to recruitment by terrorist organizations.
