IPA Appoints NDLEA’s DCG Icha as Director Of International Counter-Narcotics Training

Deputy Commander General (DCG) Joseph Ogirima Icha of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has been appointed as the Director of International Counter-Narcotics Training at the International Police Academy (IPA). The IPA Executive Board recognized Icha's professional contributions to law enforcement, security, and academic advancement, as well as his commitment to combating drug abuse and trafficking on a global scale.

The Academy, with a presence in New York and Europe, is a respected institution that provides advanced education and research opportunities for law enforcement officers, military personnel, and civilians. Icha's appointment as Director and Honorary Member of the IPA and other international police organizations is a testament to his dedication and expertise.

NDLEA Executive Brig Gen Mohamed Buba Marwa commended Icha's appointment, highlighting Nigeria's growing role in global drug control efforts and urging him to continue promoting capacity building and best practices in drug law enforcement. President Bola Tinubu also expressed pride in Icha.
