IPOB Demands Kanu's Release Following UN Ruling

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has called for public support following a ruling from the United Nations Human Rights Council regarding Kanu's treatment. IPOB urges the Nigerian government to release Kanu and provide compensation, condemning the selective application of international law.

In a statement from IPOB's Spokesperson and Media/Publicity Secretary, Comrade Emma Powerful, it was noted that the UN has officially indicted Nigeria for serious violations, including torture and extraordinary rendition, as Kanu was forcibly returned from Kenya to Nigeria in 2021. The UN Working Group has called for Kanu's immediate release and compensation for these violations.

IPOB criticized Britain for not supporting the UN's findings and for allegedly assisting Nigeria in defying international law. They also condemned British government comments regarding Israel, asserting that Britain has no right to lecture Israel about its historic rights while ignoring Kanu's situation.
