Fayose Questions Supreme Court Delay on ADC, PDP Judgment

Isaac Fayose has expressed his concerns about the Supreme Court's delay in delivering a judgment related to the leadership disputes of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The Supreme Court, led by Justice Moham Garba, concluded hearing the case on April 22, 2023, but has yet to announce a date for the ruling.

This delay is causing anxiety among aspirants from both parties as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) deadline for party membership registration approaches. Fayose questioned the motivations behind the judiciary's delay, emphasizing that the outcome of the judgment is crucial for the political landscape, particularly for the 2027 elections.

He highlighted that the uncertainty affects not only the parties involved but also the Nigerian populace, who deserve viable alternatives in governance. The Supreme Court has adjourned the matter until April 22, 2023, with no communicated date for the judgment.
