IsDB President Reaffirms Support for Nigeria, Qatar, Syria

During the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) annual meeting held in Baku, Azerbaijan, Dr. Muhammad Al Jasser, the President of IsDB, reaffirmed the bank's commitment to strengthening partnerships and supporting sustainable development across its member countries, particularly Nigeria, Qatar, and Syria. H.E.

Mr. Taiwo Oyedele, the IsDB governor for Nigeria, engaged in discussions to deepen the long-standing partnership between Nigeria and IsDB, reviewing cooperation frameworks for 2026-2028 and exploring opportunities to support Nigeria's development priorities, especially in infrastructure and private sector development. The meeting also included bilateral discussions with representatives from Qatar and Syria, focusing on reviewing progress in Qatar's engagement framework for 2024-2028 and opportunities for collaboration to support Syria's recovery and reconstruction efforts.

Dr. Al Jasser emphasized the importance of collective efforts to support social and economic development across member countries, particularly the least developed ones.
