IsDB Meeting in Azerbaijan Explores AI for Digital Growth

The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) convened a meeting in Baku, Azerbaijan, where stakeholders, including senior technical experts and directors from various member countries, discussed the advancement of regional digital economies through artificial intelligence (AI). Mr. Anass Aissami, representing IsDB, emphasized the bank's commitment to integrating AI into its technological agenda, aiming to facilitate the transition from fragmented pilot projects to scalable, trustworthy digital platforms across sectors.

The Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan, Mr. Samaddin Asadov, remarked on Azerbaijan's ongoing efforts to establish itself as a regional digital hub, focusing on expanding its innovative ecosystem and strengthening digital infrastructure. The discussions highlighted AI's role as a catalyst for increasing productivity, enabling new digital markets, improving enterprise competitiveness, and enhancing the efficiency of public service delivery.
