Adebayo Advocates Unity Between Islam and Christianity

During a special Ramadan Iftar event held at Al Ahfad Mosque in Gomb, Princ Adewol Adebayo, the presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), stated that Islam and Christianity should be viewed as Nigeria's double strength rather than a source of division. He noted the unique opportunity presented by the coincidence of Ramadan and the Christian Lenten season for national rebirth and renewal of faith.

Adebayo urged Nigerians to embrace the core values of peace and justice inherent in both religions, emphasizing that the new generation should focus on overcoming bad leadership. Dr. Umar Dokaji, the chief imam, highlighted the importance of interfaith gatherings during challenging times, while Reverend Abar Kalla represented the Christian community, calling for joint prayers and cooperation between Muslims and Christians.

The event aimed to foster unity and prevent religious crises in Nigeria.
