It Is Not A Must That I Become President – Atiku

At an affirmation ceremony for new defectors to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Lagos, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar stated that it is not a necessity for him to become president. The event saw prominent figures like Ola Olateju, a former PDP candidate, joining the ADC.

Abubakar emphasized the need for good leadership to create a better and more prosperous Nigeria, expressing his willingness to work towards this goal. He highlighted the challenges faced by Nigerians, such as the removal of fuel subsidy and resulting inflation, and stressed the importance of repositioning the country for progress.

Abubakar also mentioned that the party members would determine the presidential flagbearer in 2023, indicating a democratic process within the ADC.
