Babachir Lawal Eliminates APC, ADC for 2027 Support

Babachir Lawal, the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, announced his decision to eliminate the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as potential support options for the 2027 presidential election. In a television interview, Lawal criticized the ADC's presidential primaries, specifically targeting the results of Atiku Abubakar, the party's candidate, alleging that the outcomes did not reflect actual votes.

He claimed discrepancies in the local government results, stating that documents he possesses show significant differences between local and national results. Lawal accused party officials of manipulating the results to favor Abubakar, asserting that he would not support a candidate he believes did not win fairly.

He praised Moham Hayatu Deen, describing him as qualified and experienced for the presidency. Lawal stated he is stepping away from active partisan politics but has already ruled out support for both APC and ADC, waiting to see who the people nominate.
