Seun Kuti, a prominent Afrobeat singer, has called on the Nigerian federal government to take action against pastors who claim to perform miracles without substantiating evidence. In a live video, Kuti expressed his concerns regarding the prevalence of unverified miracle claims, urging that individuals making such assertions should be held accountable.

He referenced the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, where he suggested that any miraculous claims should be verified by medical professionals. Kuti argued that if a person claims to have restored sight or performed other miracles, they must be able to repeat these acts in front of medical experts.

He proposed that those who fail to provide clear evidence of their claims should face strict legal penalties, aiming to protect the public from misleading assertions and false beliefs.
