Six Fake Pastors Arrested for Fraud in Ondo State

On February 16, 2026, the Ondo State Police Command announced the arrest of six individuals identified as Simpli Fadahunsi, Kolad Tijani, Iyanuoluwa Arijesulola Ademola, and others for allegedly posing as pastors to defraud unsuspecting residents in Idanr Local Government Area. The operation was conducted by the command's tactical team in collaboration with community safety officers, following credible intelligence about a fraudulent syndicate operating in the area.

Preliminary investigations indicated that the suspects staged fake miracles and spiritual interventions to gain the trust of victims, exploiting their faith during financial and health challenges. The police reported that the suspects operated in a coordinated manner, assigning specific roles within the group to create a convincing structure for their fraudulent activities.
