Melissa Jefferson-Wooden Makes History with US Relay Gold at World Championships

Melissa Jefferson-Wooden made history by completing a world sprint treble with a United States relay win, securing gold in the 4x100m relay at the World Championships. This victory marked her second achievement in achieving the world sprint treble, with Jamaica taking silver.

Melissa, who had already won the 100m and 200m titles in Tokyo, led her team to victory despite adverse weather conditions. The US relay team, including Twanisha Terry, Kayla White, and Sha'Carri Richardson, finished the race in second place.

Jamaica claimed silver, while Germany took bronze. Melissa expressed pride in passing the baton to the next generation, concluding her illustrious career with three Olympic gold medals and ten world titles.
