Jigawa Governor Discovers Absent Officials During Inspection

On an unscheduled visit to the Jigawa State secretariat, Governor Umar Namadi discovered a significant absence of key government officials, including the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), the Head of Service, and several commissioners. During the inspection, many offices were found locked, and only a few messengers and security personnel were present.

The governor's visit aimed to monitor worker attendance and assess the commitment of public servants to their duties. He described the level of absenteeism as unacceptable and warned that the administration would not tolerate indiscipline or poor commitment within the civil service.

Governor Namadi stressed that every public servant is responsible for reporting to work and delivering quality service to the people. This inspection is part of ongoing efforts by the administration to strengthen discipline and improve productivity within government institutions across the state.
