Jigawa LG Chairman Trains with 2,600 Hisbah Guards

Shehu Baba, the Chairman of Birniwa Local Government Area in Jigawa State, joined 2,600 Hisbah guards for a one-week training aimed at strengthening the fight against social vices. The training occurred on Friday at the Yakubu Gowon NYSC Orientation Camp in Fanisau, Dutse, organized by the Jigawa State Hisbah Board.

Baba expressed his support for the guards, emphasizing their role as custodians of moral values and encouraging community service. He commended Governor Umar Namadi for his commitment to peace-building and the welfare of Hisbah personnel.

During the closing ceremony, represented by Deputy Governor Aminu Usman, Namadi praised Baba's participation and noted the government's efforts to enhance the Hisbah's effectiveness. Dr Fa’iz Bashir, Commander-General of the Jigawa State Hisbah Board, stated that the training focused on discipline, law, and crime prevention skills.

Participants are expected to apply their training in their local communities to promote peace and discourage bad behavior.
