Jigawa Pilgrims Board Trains Officers for 2027 Hajj

The Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has launched a training program for its zonal officers regarding the use of dollar debit cards ahead of the 2027 Hajj. This initiative responds to new regulations from Saudi Arabian authorities, as mandated by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

The training, which took place on Wednesday at the board’s headquarters in Dutse, was declared open by the Director-General, Ahmad Labbo. He emphasized the importance of early preparation for a smooth Hajj operation and noted that this training is the first of its kind, conducted in collaboration with Guaranty Trust Bank.

The workshop aims to equip officers with the necessary skills to assist intending pilgrims under the new payment system. Labbo urged participants to apply their knowledge and prepare other staff and pilgrims.

Zonal officers Hudu Muhammad and Muhammad Aminu expressed that the training would enhance their ability to guide pilgrims effectively, reducing cash-related issues during the pilgrimage.
