Jigawa Pilgrim Board Sets N7.67m Fare for 2027 Hajj

The Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced a final fare of N7,672,822 for pilgrims from the state intending to participate in the 2027 Hajj pilgrimage. The deadline for all intending pilgrims to complete their payments is set for September 18, 2026.

Alhaji Ahmad Umar Labbo, the Director-General of the board, stated that those who have already paid the initial N7.5 million will need to pay an outstanding balance of N172,822. He emphasized the importance of completing all financial and registration requirements ahead of the pilgrimage.

Labbo instructed the board’s zonal officers to enhance sensitization and mobilization efforts across the state to ensure all registered pilgrims are well-informed and prepared. He urged compliance with the payment directives to avoid challenges affecting participation.

Labbo also acknowledged the support of Jigawa State Governor Malam Umar Namadi in providing loans to assist intending pilgrims with their financial obligations.
