Jonathan Registers with PDP Amidst Fake Campaign Posters

Goodluck Jonathan has officially registered as a member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) under the leadership of Kabiru Tanimu Turaki. This registration occurred during the party's recent digital membership registration exercise.

The Turaki-led faction of the PDP issued a statement warning Nigerians against associating Jonathan with any political platform outside the PDP, particularly in light of fake campaign posters circulating on social media. These posters falsely depict Jonathan as a presidential aspirant alongside various notable Nigerians.

The faction emphasized that Jonathan remains a registered member of the PDP and is capable of providing leadership. They also cautioned against individuals attempting to manipulate party databases by registering Jonathan with multiple political parties without consent, which is prohibited under Nigerian law.

The faction called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the public to disregard these fraudulent activities.
