Ohanaeze Warns of Trump’s Attention Over Jos Killings

Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, represented by its spokesman Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro and Chief Thompson Ohia, has expressed concerns that the recent killings in Jos and the controversies surrounding the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) could attract renewed attention from Donald Trump. The group condemned the violent attacks on Christians in Jos, Plateau State, labeling them as acts of terror.

They commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his prompt condolences and visit to the affected community. Ohanaeze urged the federal government to intensify efforts to address insecurity in the northern region of Nigeria.

They expressed confidence in the capabilities of the nation's security leadership, including Chief of Defence Staff Nuhu Ribadu and Minister of Defence Bello Matawalle. Furthermore, the organization warned against actions that could undermine national stability, particularly regarding attempts by the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to seek foreign intervention in internal party disputes, advising aggrieved parties to pursue judicial redress, especially through the Supreme Court.
