Lulu-Briggs Urges Nigerians to Embrace Democratic Responsibility

During the 33rd anniversary of June 12, 1993, Alabo Dumo Lulu-Briggs, the governorship candidate of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), stated that democracy is not a gift but a responsibility for all Nigerians. He urged the people of Rivers State to remain strong and reclaim their state amidst prevailing challenges.

Lulu-Briggs recalled the sacrifices of past heroes who fought for democracy and emphasized the importance of voting and having a voice in governance. He acknowledged the imperfections of democracy but affirmed it as the best form of government.

He called on citizens to unite for progress, compete without hate, and protect the state's wealth and future. Lulu-Briggs expressed that Rivers State possesses enormous wealth and a vibrant youth population deserving of better governance.

He encouraged citizens not to lose faith and to actively participate in the democratic process.
