Kebbi High Court Judge Abducted in Midnight Raid

Justice Faruku Hassan Bunza, a serving judge of the Kebbi State High Court, was abducted by suspected bandits during a late-night attack on his residence in Bunza Local Government Area. The incident occurred around midnight on Sunday along Zogirma Road, shortly after the judge returned from an official trip to Sokoto.

Eyewitnesses reported that the gunmen invaded his home, firing shots into the air before taking him away. Fortunately, no other occupants were harmed during the raid.

The abduction was reported to relevant authorities, including the Kebbi State High Court leadership. SP Bashir Usman, the Police Public Relations Officer for Kebbi State Command, confirmed the incident and stated that the Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Muhammad Hadejia, had ordered the deployment of tactical and intelligence operatives to locate the abductors.

As of the report, no group had claimed responsibility, and there was no indication of a ransom demand. Security operatives are intensifying efforts to ensure Justice Bunza's safe return.
