Court Grants Blessing CEO N10m Bail Amid Fraud Charges

On Tuesday, a Federal High Court in Lagos granted Blessing Nkiruka Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, bail in the sum of N10 million. However, the court ordered her to remain in custody until she meets the bail conditions.

Justice D. Dipeolu presided over the proceedings, which are part of an ongoing trial involving Okoro, who faces charges filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for allegedly obtaining N36 million under false pretenses.

Okoro pleaded not guilty to the charges when they were read to her. The prosecution argued against her release, stating that the EFCC had already detained her due to the nature of the allegations.

The court has scheduled the next hearing for June 22, 2026. The charges against Okoro include allegations that she unlawfully received N36 million from a woman named Ifeyinwa Nony Okoy between July 14 and July 17, 2024, claiming it was for the lease of a six-bedroom duplex in Lekki, which she reportedly began renovating before the actual owner surfaced.
