Court Orders PDP to Proceed With National Convention in Oyo State

The Oyo State High Court has ordered the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and its National Chairman, Ambassador Umar Damagum, to proceed with their national convention scheduled for November 15-16, 2025, in Ibadan. The ruling came after an ex parte application filed by Folahan Malomo Adelabi sought to restrain the party and its leadership from disrupting the convention process.

The court's decision paves the way for the PDP to elect new national officers pending a full hearing. Governor Ahmadu Fintiri and INEC were listed as defendants in the suit.
