Dantawaye Miller Assumes Duty as New FCT Police Commissioner, Pledges to Enhance Security

Dantawaye Miller has officially taken over as the new FCT Police Commissioner, succeeding CP Ajao Adewale. The announcement was made by the FCT Police Command, with Miller assuming leadership on October 17, 2025.

He replaces Adewale, who has been redeployed to a new strategic assignment by the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun. Miller, a seasoned law enforcement officer with over two decades of distinguished service, has held various operational and leadership roles nationwide.

He is tasked with addressing the rising security challenges in the territory and is expected to introduce fresh strategies to enhance public safety and restore confidence. The new Commissioner, Josephine Adeh, has pledged to deepen collaboration between the police and local communities to ensure the safety and security of residents in the FCT.
