Cherubim and Seraphim Church Urges Nigerian Government to Address Insecurity After Worshipper Abduction

The Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria has called on the Nigerian government to enhance security measures in the country after the abduction of 160 worshippers in Kaduna on January 18. During a press conference ahead of the church's 2026 annual general conference, the Supreme Head of the church, Emmanuel Alogbo, expressed deep concern over the incident and the prevailing security challenges in the nation.

Alogbo emphasized the need for the government to strengthen its armed forces, provide modern equipment, and boost operational capacity to address the rising insecurity. The church also announced plans to relocate worship centers from remote and vulnerable locations to safer areas, leveraging its membership and Christian associations to pressure the government for improved security.

The church's forthcoming annual general conference, themed "Unhidden City" and scheduled for January 29 to February 1 in Lagos State, will feature various programs aimed at providing spiritual direction, practical guidance, and strategic dialogue during these critical times.
