Emirates FC Wins RFI Peace and Unity Soccer Tournament

Emirates FC emerged victorious in the maiden RFI Peace and Unity Soccer Tournament held in Kaduna, defeating Ikhana Babe 1-0 in a closely contested final at the Lea Chawai Football Pitch in Tudun Wada. The event attracted a significant turnout of spectators and dignitaries, including Faisal Abdullahi, the chairman of the Kaduna State Football Association, and Alhaji Zakari Ya'u Inuwa, the chairman of the Soba Local Government Football Council.

The match director, Joe Perri, represented the Hausa Service Radio France International, which organized the competition. Emirates FC received a cash prize of N300,000, a trophy, and a certificate, while Ikhana Babe received N200,000 and a trophy for being the runner-up.

Maraba Star secured third place and received N150,000. Individual awards included Mu Awuyah Yusuf from Ikhana Babe as the Most Valuable Player, Ibrahim Moham from Maraba Star as the Best Goalkeeper, and Yusuf Baba Bello from Maraba Star as the Highest Goal Scorer with a total of eight goals.
