Kaduna Governor Uba Sani Meets President Buhari to Discuss Recent Abductions

Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani visited President Buhari at the State House to discuss security issues, particularly the recent abduction of worshippers in Kaduna State. Governor Sani briefed the President on the ongoing joint operation involving state and federal security agencies that led to the safe release of the victims.

The worshippers were abducted on January 18 from a church in Kurmin Wali community, Kajuru Local Government Area. Following the abduction, gunmen stormed three churches, abducting 167 worshippers during church services.

The police initially denied the incident but later confirmed the abductions. By February 1, 80 abducted worshippers were released, with the remaining captives released in the past week.

Sources revealed that the freed worshippers are currently in the custody of the Kaduna State Government pending an official announcement.
