Kaduna Governor Visits Tinubu After Abducted Worshippers Regained Freedom

Kaduna Governor Uba Sani met with former Lagos State Governor Bola Tinubu at the State House in Abuja on February 6, 2026. Governor Sani's visit followed the release of worshippers who were abducted in Kaduna State on February 5, 2026.

The worshippers were kidnapped by armed bandits who targeted church attendees in Kurmin Wali town on January 18, 2026. While some managed to escape, many were unaccounted for.

The Nigerian Police deployed resources to coordinate a rescue operation in the Kajuru area. The release of the abductees was shrouded in mystery, with community leaders reporting uncertain circumstances.

President's special adviser, Ohamadika Ikodorsamir, shared limited details about the incident on social media.
