Kaduna State's IGR Approaches N120bn, Says KADIRS Chair

Mr. Jerry Adams, the outgoing Executive Chairman of the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS), announced that the state's annual internally generated revenue (IGR) is trending towards N120 billion, with a monthly average collection of N10 billion. This statement was made during the 160th meeting of the Joint Revenue Board in Kaduna.

Adams reported that the IGR increased from N58 billion before 2023 to N62 billion, and then to N71 billion in 2024, with an annual revenue of N85 billion in 2025. He noted that previous revenue spikes were not sustainable and were largely due to one-off recoveries rather than organic tax growth.

Adams emphasized the need for KADIRS to expand the tax base and introduced digital processes, including the PAYKADUNA portal and Project C.R.A.F.T, to enhance revenue collection and close gaps in informal cash-based systems. He credited Governor Uba Sani for providing the political will necessary for these improvements.
