Kaduna Lawmaker Quits PDP Over Internal Crisis

Kaduna State lawmaker, Sadiq Abdullahi, representing Sabon Gari Federal Constituency, resigned from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) on October 13, citing persistent internal conflicts within the party. Abdullahi, who served as the Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on FERMA, also mentioned his consultation with stakeholders before making the decision.

He had been abducted in March 2022 during an attack on a Kaduna-bound train and was released after four months in captivity.
