Mob Killing of Teacher in Kaduna Sparks Outrage

Ummulkhair, a female Islamic teacher, was killed by a mob in Kaduna after being accused of attempting to kidnap children during a religious lecture on a Sunday afternoon. The accusations quickly spread, leading to a large crowd attacking her.

Despite police intervention, the situation escalated, and the mob overpowered the officers, setting a police station ablaze. Suleiman Isa, the village head, reported that Ummulkhair was pleading for her life when the crowd refused to listen to her denials of the accusations.

Her husband, Aliyu Moham, expressed devastation over her unjust killing, stating she was simply attending a religious lecture. The incident has raised concerns about mob justice and the safety of residents in the area, with calls for better security and justice for Ummulkhair's family, who are now left without her care.
