Northern Christians Provide Borehole to Kurmin Wali Community

The Northern Christian Association (NCA) has donated a borehole to the Kurmin Wali community in Kajuru Local Government Area, Kaduna State, to provide residents with access to clean and safe drinking water. This intervention comes in the wake of a mass abduction where 170 worshippers from three churches were taken, highlighting the growing security challenges in rural northern Nigeria.

Rev. Joseph John Hayab, chairman of the NCA, emphasized the dire need for clean water, which was discovered during a visit to the community after the abduction.

The borehole is expected to alleviate the struggles of residents, particularly women and children, who previously traveled long distances for water. Rev.

Jimmi Odukoya from Fountain Life Church also offered assistance upon learning of the community's needs. Hayab reiterated the NCA's commitment to supporting victims of violence and insecurity across northern Nigeria, while also calling on the Kaduna State government to fulfill promises made to the community regarding infrastructure improvements.
