Kaduna Polytechnic Investigates Dress Code Enforcement Incident

Kaduna Polytechnic has launched an investigation into a dress code enforcement incident following student protests. The issue arose when female students expressed frustration after being denied entry to the campus due to their attire, which they deemed modest.

One student highlighted that despite wearing full-length trousers, she was turned away, leading to claims that the enforcement of the dress code had become excessive. The institution's management, represented by Deputy Registrar Mr.

Godwin B. Ayegba, issued a statement acknowledging the viral video of the incident and clarified that the dress code policy is intended to promote decency and professional conduct in the learning environment.

However, it emphasized that enforcement should not be carried out in an extreme or arbitrary manner. The management has initiated an investigation to identify lapses in the implementation of the dress code policy and to ensure that students' access to education is not hindered.
